The methodincludes: obtaining (902) a channel hardening (CH) parameter; changing (904) ameasurement parameter based on the obtained CH parameter; and adapting (906) ameasurement procedure in accordance with the changed parameter. A method (1000)performed by a network node, the method includes obtaining (1002) a channel hardening(CH) parameter corresponding to a user equipment (UE); and sending (1012) to the UE aindication that the UE is allowed to perform optimizations based on the obtained CHparameter.
