摘要：The invention concerns a method for locating an insulation fault (Rd) in aconductor element (SCR) relative to ground connection, the conductor element beingelectrically accessible at least in a point of origin (Po) and a terminal point (Pe). Theinvention is characterised in that it consists in: injecting a current between the point oforigin (Po) and the terminal point (Pe) of the conductor element (SCR), using a current orvoltage generator (21) insulated from ground connection; measuring a first electricvoltage (U1) at the point of origin (Po), relatively to the ground connection, and a secondelectric voltage (U, U2) at the terminal point (Pe). The ratio between the first (U1) andsecond (U, U2) measured voltages is representative of the relative position (Pdr) of theinsulation fault between the point of origin (Po) and the terminal point (Pe). The inventionis useful in particular for the maintenance of telecommunication cables.
