摘要：A method is disclosed for rendering a page description on a rendering system.The page description of a page to be rendered comprises one or more objects. Themethod comprises the step of receiving the objects sequentially in z-order (-) frombottom to top and generating () one or more sets of render instructions. The generating

step performs the following for each received object of the page description. It firstdetermines () whether by adding the corresponding render instructions of a currentreceived object to a current set of render instructions the resources of the renderingsystem will be exceeded. If the resources would be exceeded then it creates () a new setof render instructions, adds () render instructions to the new set of render instructions todraw the current set of render instructions as a background image, and then adds () tothe new set of render instructions the corresponding render instructions of the currentreceived object. On the other hand, if the resources would not be exceeded then it adds() the corresponding render instructions of the current received object to the current setof instructions. Finally, the method renders () said one or more sets of renderinginstructions.
